Taking place this year from April 12 to April 20, Pesach is marked with storytelling, songs, traditions, fresh food and reading from the Haggadah.
  • Help care for Waterloo parks this Earth Day The City of Waterloo invites community members to take action toward a cleaner and greener Waterloo by organizing a litter cleanup for Earth Day. Since 2004, families, friends, neighbours and coworkers in Waterloo have been coming together for a city-wide cleanup of local parks and trails to celebrate Earth Day.
  • City of Waterloo introduces sensory backpacks City of Waterloo introduces sensory backpacks The City of Waterloo's Community Programming Inclusion Services team is excited to introduce a new initiative designed to support the sensory needs of community members while visiting city facilities. Twelve sensory backpacks will now be available free of charge for individuals to sign out for use at select locations.

  • Holi (1) Known as the festival of colours, Holi is being celebrated by Hindus in Waterloo and around the world. The vibrant colours mark the end of winter and celebrating the triumph of good over evil.
  • Waterloo’s new fire safety box bylaw comes into effect soon Owners of apartments and other buildings are required to have a fire safety box and arrive on the scene within 45 minutes of an alarm starting March 23, 2025. A fire safety box should have the contact information for the owner, or a designated contact person, along with the building's schematics or drawings.
